Abstract

Much research has been done that ranks research productivity in elite journals, departments and universities. Such studies ignore the vast majority of scholars and universities. The present study aims to partially fill this vacuum in the literature. This article ranks the 100 most prolific accounting authors based on the number of downloads from the Social Science Research Network database as of November 1, 2022. It also ranks accounting scholars based on citations.
